With over 1,500 colleagues across northern England, it is important that we not only adhere to employment standards set by local authorities – but go above and beyond to protect our amazing colleagues and their standards of work.

Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter

We are proud to be a member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.

The Charter was developed in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, District Councils, Trade Unions, employers from across the county, and workforces from various sectors.

Through the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we support the health, development, and resilience of our employees in and across North West England.

West Yorkshire’s Fair Work Charter

We are also a member of the West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter.

For employees, the Charter’s goal is to help maintain a focus on workplace wellbeing, supporting satisfied workforces, safeguarding fair and flexible working conditions, and securing jobs across the county.

For employers, the Charter enhances productivity, helps to improve talent retention, and secures valuable working standards for colleagues across all levels of business.

Through our membership, we also gain access to peer networks, a valuable learning and development portal, a recognition mark, and a WYCA-approved pathway for attracting talent and encouraging innovation.

Real Living Wage

In addition to being members of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and West Yorkshire Fair Work Charter, we are also accredited by the Real Living Wage Foundation.

The Real Living Wage is the only wage rate in the UK that is calculated on the real cost of living – and is a voluntary scheme that we are enrolled on alongside more than 16,000 UK employers.
