We're making some changes to the 30, 30X, 32 and 40 from 30 August.

    via Tadcaster, Thornton Dale

    • Railway Street in Malton closed

      27th - 28th Aug 2026

      Railway Street in Malton will be closed on 27th & 28th August

      Stops missed:

      -To and from Malton, York & Leeds: Railway Street, The Mount, Rockingham Close & York Road Ind Estate

      -To and from Malton, Thornton-le-Dale & Whitby: Old Malton School, Highfield Road, Ashfield House, The Old Lodge, Railway Street, The Mount, Rockingham Close & York Road Ind Estate

      Alternative stop is Malton Bus Station

      This is closed from 7pm on Thursday 27th to 3pm on Friday 28th

      Please ensure to plan your journey accordingly

    • Diversion on Coastliner

      31st Jul 2026 - 28th Aug 2026

      Northern Gas are closing Garnet Lane in Tadcaster from 4th to 28th August

      Coastliner buses will be diverting via the A659 Leeds Road and use the stops along this route to pick and drop customers

      Stops missed: Stutton Rd, Golf Links, The Jackdaw, Firtree Crescent, Beechtree & Garnet Lane in both directions

      10th - 28th Aug 2026

      Due to works starting on Railway St Malton for a zebra crossing

      from Monday 10th Aug until the 28th Aug. The railway stop will be closed for the last week of the works

      We will updates customer as more information is available.

    • Leeds Festival Divsersion

      27th - 31st Aug 2026

      Due to the Leeds festival taking place at Bramham Park the 843/840 services will be diverting.

      Stops missed: Becca Lodge, Dogs Trust Leeds, Kiddal Lane End, Stockeld Lane, Scholes Lane End, Thorner Lane End, Morwick Farm, Grimes Dyke, Seacroft Ring Road, Seacroft The Green and Stocks Approach

    • Not possible to use the stop on the Coastliner 840 & Coastliner 843

      23rd Jul 2026 onwards

      Due to roadworks in York, at Mount Vale Road, Coastliner 840 & 843 and the no 40 bus will not be able to reach The Mount bus stop towards Leeds

      Alternative stops: Mount Vale Bus Stop & Blossom Street

      This is in place until further notice

      20th Jul 2026 onwards

      Due to roadworks in York, at Mount Vale Road, Coastliner 840 & 843 and the no 40 bus will not be able to reach The Mount bus stop towards Leeds

      Ings Lane out of Huby has opened

      The no 40 bus will be running down Stillington Road and Ings lane in both directions to and from Huby

      The bus is no longer diverting down the A19

      The road at Stillington is still closed & we will be going through the village of Huby, onto Ings Lane and resume route at Easingwold Road

      Stops missed: Huby Maple Lane, Ravensdale, Roseberry, Stillington York Road Junction & North Back Lane

      This is in place until further notice

      21st Aug 2026 onwards

      West Lane is closed so the 40 service will be diverting through Huby
